If you have been charged with a crime, please consider
the two most important pieces of advice:
- Do not speak to anyone about the facts and circumstances related to this matter. It is absolutely true that “anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law”. Once you say certain things about your matter, whether they are true or not, it may prevent you from pursuing a certain defense. DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT YOUR CASE EXCEPT YOUR LAWYER. PERIOD. Do not talk about this with your family members, your friends, your neighbors and most especially – do not talk about it with any person involved with law enforcement (e.g., police, sheriffs, solicitors, prosecutors, district attorneys, judges); and
- If you are able to hire a lawyer, hire one immediately. The longer you wait to have an attorney working on your matter, the more you may prejudice your case. You want your attorney to have the most amount of time to prepare all defenses available to you. This will enable your attorney to conduct the factual and legal research necessary to help you at every stage of your criminal prosecution including bail reduction hearings, preliminary hearings, pre-trial motions and the trial itself.
Fortunately, people in our country are innocent until proven guilty. Furthermore, the process of proving a suspect guilty in the United States is a very specialized practice of law which involves enforcing various rights of those accused of crimes. If you do not have an attorney who is experienced in this arena, chances are you will lose the benefits of those important rights.
At the Schwartz Law Group, your future and the enforcement of your Constitutional rights are our top concerns. We vigorously defend our clients without judgment, and we never compromise our professional duties of loyalty and confidentiality. When you create an attorney/client relationship with our firm, it becomes a sacred bond that guarantees you trust, diligence and zealous advocacy.
As we carefully navigate our clients’ matters through trial, we are careful to exhaust all opportunities for the most favorable outcomes possible: We perform comprehensive investigations; We develop strategies for assembling evidence that either establishes reasonable doubt or outright innocence; We attack questionable searches, seizures and confessions that have abridged our clients’ rights; and whenever appropriate, we pursue dismissals of charges, conversions to lesser offenses, motions to suppress evidence from trial, preferable plea bargains or alternative sentencing arrangements.
Being prosecuted for a crime can be a very frightening and confusing nightmare that can inflict lifelong consequences. If you (or a loved one) are undergoing such an ordeal, you should strongly consider hiring the Schwartz Law Group. Our firm will give you meaningful counsel about all the options available to you, and we will ensure that you have been treated fairly and justly. Whether we maximize your chances for an acquittal or pave the way for an acceptable plea bargain, the worst possible fate need not be yours if you hire the Schwartz Law Group.
